Socialites and Komen Supporters Get Glam for the Cure!

Pittsburgh, PA- April 24, 2012 —The 2nd Annual Glam for the Cure presented by Style & Steel Event Planning on Thursday, April 19th at Olive or Twist was filled with excitement, glitz, and glamour! The event featured Fashion shows, a silent auction, jewelry vendors, giveaways, and music by DJ Selecta.

Guests came out in full force in support of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and looked fabulous! Upon arrival, they each received complimentary gift boxes filled with tasty treats prepared by Creative Kandy Concepts and a Gift Card from Arthur Murray Dance Studios. They enjoyed complimentary Hors D’oeuvres while sipping Glam-tinis, the signature cocktail of the evening, designed by Platinum Sponsors Clique Vodka.

The Ultra Lounge featured Reflexology by Three Rivers R&R, and wonderful jewelry vendors, Sabika Jewelry and SheaMoi Naturelle. Throughout the night, guests posed to have their pictures taken and nothing but smiles and laughter filled the room.

The evening ignited with fashion shows featuring contemporary, trendy and high fashion clothing from Focus Fashion and Chic Boutique, both located on Murray Avenue in Squirrel Hill and one of a kind designs from local designer, FashionAFRICANA. Fashion Bloggers and Stylists, CityStyle were also on hand to give guests more in depth insights into the looks featured in the fashion shows.

Raffle drawings and music by DJ Selecta completed the night’s festivities. Raffle prizes included a feature in One Fashion Place Magazine, tickets to the Pittsburgh Zoo, and Gift Certificates for Style Makeovers from Astonishing Style Inc. and Focused Fashions. Event Sponsors included: SitaraSocial Marketing, Productivity LLC, Clique Vodka, Focused Fashion and One Fashion Place Magazine.
